What’s in a name, ACORN?

ACORN? Apparently the people at ACORN think we won’t notice if they change their name to Community Organizations International. Sorry, gang. ACORN by any other name doesn’t smell any sweeter, let me tell you. These people are out to push a socialist agenda and commit voter fraud wherever they can get away with it. ACORN is under investigation in 14 states and has chased away (and tried to silence) its own members who asked too many questions about politics, voter drives or missing funds.
Check out Kevin Mooney’s piece in the Washington Examiner for more details on the latest in the ACORN debacle.
Just so we’re clear, ACORN has received $53 million (of your money, I might add) over the last 15 years. It has around 270 affiliated organizations (the more to spread the cash around) and in The Chosen One’s 2010 federal budget, ACORN (or whatever it’s called by then) is set to receive another $5.5 billion in taxpayer funds.
The scam artist formerly known as ACORN is still out to spread the wealth and slam us with the bill. Don’t be fooled by the name change. Contact your local ACORN office to ask why they felt the need to modify such a clever, household moniker.
