There was an article in the Examiner on the 21st of June about ACORN and their ‘new name.”

When I first started to write about this I thought well I do not know anything about ACORN. My second thought was – who does? And that is the way this organization wants it to be.

Ok, so what is an acorn? It is a small nut which once planted grows into a huge oak tree. This little nut is planted deep and is unseen by the human eye. The huge tree that grows is seen, but has many branches and some are obscured by other branches. This large tree drops nuts to the ground that are planted and the cycle continues.

Along around 1970 Wade Rathke, founded the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now. Back then such organizations were known as rabble rousers -trouble makers, Hippies, and the like. My opinion of these kinds of groups has not really changed in the last 39 years. Reform now is a phrase that makes me uneasy. What are they going to reform and how? But even though they have been around for 40 years I never heard of them till the Election of 2008. And I like nothing that I have heard.

The article in the Examiner goes on to say that one of the original 8 members feels that the name has been tarnished and they have been getting bad publicity. I wonder if this really means the truth is coming out and they do not like it. So they are changing their name to Community Organizations International. They are going Global – spreading their ideals and behaviors across the world. Makes me wonder, considering the Iranian election, has ACORN moved into the Middle East?

They can change their name – they can move – they can run – but this does not change what they are up to – which is no good.

I asked a friend if she had any thoughts on ACORN. She first heard of them in Arkansas more than 15 years ago, and says that her thoughts are “unprintable.”

I listen to Glenn Beck and others who seem intent on finding out the truth – to uncover that first little nut. And I am amazed that they are so hidden in plain sight. They wiggle and squirm. They threaten their own if the “whistle blows.” Of course liberals always turn against other liberals.

One woman, Anita MonCrief, has testified to voter fraud and is now being sued by ACORN. More power to her and I wish there were more like her. She is not afraid of ACORN, but I fear for her.

And now the United States Census is being handed over to this group who are under investigation in 14 states for voter fraud. This is beyond belief. This is frightening. The whole ACORN story scares me. They are working on hidden agendas and underhanded practices and NO ONE stops them.

Why? Why is this group so protected? Why are they so hard to uncover?

Ok, enough why questions. How about who? Who is protecting them? And why does it seem that when Mr. Obama’s name becomes connected to ACORN their protection seems stronger.

The big question for me is not if he is connected to ACORN but how deep is Mr. Obama’s connection?
