Tea parties show Unity

The mainstream media ignores or mocks us. The Left blows us off or claims we’re the pawns of a “vast, right-wing conspiracy.” The lackadaisical or uninformed look the other way as they drive by. Often even our closest friends do not show interest in these important rallies. The tea parties have taught me not to worry about those reactions. I realized, though, this last Saturday that the most important lesson I’ve learned from my two tea parties is that I’m not alone.
If the tea parties do nothing else (and they will do much to further the conservative cause, I’m sure), they have solidified my belief in the American spirit. Sixty-two million Americans voted for someone other than the guy in the Oval Office right now. Tons of people who did vote for The Chosen One have serious voters’ remorse. They should.
The first tea party on April 15 sent my hopes soaring. By the time the 4th of July party rolled around, I was completely overwhelmed by the onslaught of socialism on my beloved country. A couple of hours with like-minded patriots and I am rejuvenated, restored and ready to take on the losers in D.C. once again.
The tea parties are not organized by Republicans. No one pays us to be there. Often people arrive in twos or threes and leave with contact information for a dozen new friends. This is a real, grassroots movement. The Left hasn’t a clue how to handle it because their protesters are paid (can anyone say ACORN?), threatened (in the case of Union members) or deceived (pretty much everybody else) to show up for their rallies. People coming together of their own accord because they want to take a stand for their country must blow the liberals’ minds.
Janeane Garofalo was wrong (of course we all know that). The tea parties are not about racism or extremism. They’re about unity and the uplifting swell of humanity that is about to overcome and defeat socialism in America. They remind us (and our opponents) that patriotism is not gone in this Republic and Obama and his ilk have a bigger fight on their hands than they bargained for. Tea parties are also a fabulous time for all. Let’s get together for some tea again soon, shall we?
