Organization to support Healthcare Declaration of Independence and
Senate’s Fiscal Reform Amendment
Washington, D.C. – Tea Party Patriots will hold a press conference on January 27th at 1 PM at the National Press Club to sign-on to the Healthcare Declaration of Independence, an initiative led by Minnesota Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann, Congressman Steve King, and Congressman Louie Gohmert.
The declaration demands Constitutional protection of the right to make our own health decisions and our own health care choices free of government denials, bureaucratic red-tape, and greater intergenerational debt.
Jenny Beth Martin, Co-Founder of Tea Party Patriots stated, “This declaration comes at a crucial time in American politics when the United States government has attempted a public takeover of private industry, and the quality of healthcare for Americans is at stake.”
The Senate amendment #3303 to (H.J. Res 45) is being championed by Senator Tom Coburn would prevent a $1.9 trillion increase in the debt limit and cut spending by $120 billion.
Tea Party Patriots Co-Founder Mark Meckler said, “We appreciate Senator Coburn’s leadership on this important legislation. Dr. Coburn’s dedication to fiscal responsibility and reduction in government spending is the kind of of leadership the American people are demanding, and we applaud him for it.”
