Smart Girl Politics Endorses Robin Smith for Congress in Tennessee’s 3rd District

July 26, 2010 – Today, Smart Girl Politics, a national grassroots conservative women’s organization, announced its endorsement of Robin Smith, candidate for U.S. Representative in Tennessee’s 3rd Congressional District.

“Robin Smith is the perfect candidate to be Smart Girl Politics first endorsement. She brings to the table a strong record as a conservative; never-wavering principles of fiscal responsibility, pro-growth, and limited government. Her real-life experience as a mother, a nurse, and now a small business owner give her the background and experience she will need to represent the 3rd District of Tennessee,” said Stacy Mott, founder and president of Smart Girl Politics.

“Robin has been active and influential in conservative politics for over 20 years. She will continue to advocate for conservative principles once elected to Congress. We were honored to have her speak at our first Smart Girl Summit in Nashville, and the power of her conservative convictions was evident when women came to her afterward telling her that she inspired them to run for office. She is a leader. And strong conservative leadership is what Congress needs more of.”

Tennessee’s 3rd Congressional District is currently represented by Rep. Zach Wamp (R), who is running for election as Governor in 2010. The primary election is scheduled for Thursday, August 5, 2010.
