I grew up with a very ethnic surname – you know the kind of name always used for the Mafia hit man in the movies. So I am used to being suspected of being a relative of some “godfather.” But now the U.S. Government has declared that I am a member of a MOB! And I have AstroTurf growing under my feet! And my clothes are from Brooks Brothers!

Lord Almighty, is this what the American voters wanted when they voted for Hope and Change? An outright assault on the citizenry? The same citizenry that goes to work every day (well not so much anymore), starts the small businesses that employ other Americans, and provides the revenue to fuel the economy? The people who bought houses that they could afford and paid their mortgages. The people who attend church on Sunday and contribute to charities. People who believe that compassion is to be nurtured but personal responsibility is to be revered.

I attended Tea Parties this year, on April 15th and July 4th, and I saw the wonder of a real grass roots movement of everyday Americans: elderly folks, families with kids, college kids, middle age couples, all who carried flags and home made signs of protest for a government out of control and spending money that does not exist, taking over private corporations and destroying free markets, ignoring the will of the People. A government that now wants to determine who gets medical care and who does not, and which will mandate counseling the elderly about how to die prematurely just to save Uncle Sam a few bucks. Never mind what they and their family want.

The most recent outrage instituted by the Obama administration is the call to snitch on fellow Americans. From the White House website:

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.

Bloggers are promoting a mass effort called Operation Go Flag Yourself encouraging readers and other bloggers to turn themselves in to the White House. What fun, let’s all do it!

The Politico (August 5, 2009) quotes Democrat strategist and former Clintonista, Lanny Davis as saying:

Let’s have the media name names, publish photographs, and do interviews of those responsible for approving, even organizing these techni[q]ues. And let’s find an investigative journalist – are there many left – to prove these so-called grassroots shouters are, or are not, being paid.

So now we have an outright governmental assault on the grass roots movement of individuals who found each other and formed alliances thanks to the Internet and alternate media. But more important, we found each other because we are like-minded and we love our country and our freedoms and we want them back.

This assault on tea party and health plan protestors, stating that we are paid pawns of the Republicans or the insurance industry, is absurd. I would love to be paid for my efforts protesting this tyranny because self-employment is no longer providing a living. So if you folks in the government know who is paying tea party protestors please let me know cuz I need a paying job. And I never bought clothes from Brooks Brothers, right now Wal-Mart is all I can afford – that is until your labor union friends and their allies in Congress destroy it too. Then all those folks who would not otherwise be able to get a real job and folks who shop Wal-Mart because it is an affordable option for goods and services will have nowhere to go. But that is what you want isn’t it Mr. Obama? Total dependence of “the masses” on government, the basis for a “benign dictatorship” of the (so-called) intelligentsia.

Rush Limbaugh sent a message on his August 5th show to the head honcho, formerly known as the community organizer:
A Community Organizer Can’t B—ch When Communities Organize

A government that has forgotten that it is of the people, by the people, for the people will perish from this earth.

What do we know about Barack Hussein Obama?

We know he is a guy who despite being a nobody in the political world had the audacity to publish two autobiographies about himself: Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance, 1995, and Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream, 2006. Now I say publish rather than write as the true authorship of these books is in issue. Jack Cashill, a prominent author and Emmy award winner, lives and works in the Kansas City area and writes extensively on his research and findings into who really wrote these Obama books.

Did Obama publish biographies about himself because he was chosen to be the future Democrat presidential candidate and was being groomed by certain individuals or an unnamed organization to be the so-called first black President of the United States? There are stories that recount the Kennedy’s involvement in the choice of Obama as the next JFK and overseer of a 21st century Camelot.

We know from Dr. Jerome Corsi who wrote Obama Nation that there are extensive inaccuracies and vague recitations of fact in Obama’s books, especially Dreams. We know that Obama’s biological father was a foreign university student from Kenya and his mother a teen-age university student from Hawaii. We do not know if they were married or if Obama’s father divorced his African wife before he maybe married Stanley Ann Dunham.

We know little about Obama’s half siblings which are numerous and we really only know that from Corsi’s book and extensive digging on our own. We know Obama lived in Indonesia as a young boy and was registered in school as an Indonesian citizen and a Muslim. His name then was Barry Soetero. But we do not know the status of his citizenship, that is, is he a “natural born American” as required by the Constitution to hold the office of the Presidency. The records which would settle this controversy have not been produced by Mr. Obama. In fact, Obama has withheld all of his personal records: birth, elementary school, passport status, naturalization or repatriation to the U.S. when he returned from Indonesia to live with his maternal grandparents, law school papers and grades, health records, and so on. We know that Obama’s Kenyan grandmother testified that she attended his birth in Kenya, and we are told, and have heard the audio recording of the Kenyan embassy official who confirmed that Kenyans are proud of Obama and his birthplace in Kenya. Surely these are more than enough facts in dispute to warrant an evidentiary hearing in any one or more of the numerous lawsuits filed on this very issue. But one by one they are dismissed for common cowardly judicial reasons like lack of standing, failure to state a claim, or no reason. The simple fact of the substantial controversy and potential Constitutional crisis would long ago have felled any conservative or Republican seeking to run for the highest office.

What is even more breathtaking is that Obama is simply a man with no reasonably ascertainable experience compatible with the office. Was Obama a great military hero? A corporate executive or entrepreneur? Was he an inventor? Was Obama a governor of a state or mayor of a major metropolitan area? Was Obama a long time U.S. Senator with sweeping reform of wasteful government to his credit? He is a lawyer – did he win some landmark case or argue successfully before the Supreme Court? This writer, with my Master’s in management and 30+ years direct experience in business and management, has substantially greater credentials than this man whose claim to fame consisted of being a “community organizer.” Come on, the joke is on whom?

If this is a joke, most of America is not laughing. So let’s look at what else we know about Obama.

Obama attended and graduated from some pretty pricey schools. Who paid for this? We really do not know that answer. He did not talk about working his way through school or even mention any noteworthy scholarships, like say Clinton and his Rhodes Scholarship. And Obama and his wife, Michelle, are so proud to point out that Obama could have had high paying jobs but instead he chose to move to Chicago’s urban core and work for what- subsistence wages? And, in a few short years he is living large in a million dollar plus estate.

We know that Obama was affiliated with the infamous corruption machine, ACORN, known for voter registration fraud, embezzlement, mortgage collapse, and a corporate structure so tangled it would take a team of investigators years to unravel it. This is the same ACORN that is the beneficiary of billions of taxpayer dollars to grow ever larger and complex, and we are told, will be coming to our front doors as census takers to pry into our most private information and record that precious information with as much veracity as they did voter registration forms.

We know that Barack Obama’s mentors were radicals such as Malcolm X, Saul Alinsky, Frank Marshall Davis, William Ayers, and some of his associates are notables such as Raila Odinga, Tony Rezko, and Jeremiah Wright.

Obama’s presidential campaign amassed a war chest that surpassed all others before him. He was funded heavily by billionaire hedge-fund manager, George Soros, personally, along with his family members, associates and 527 organizations, not the least of which was Soros’ MoveOn.org. Soros, a secular Jew, is known as an anti-Israel, pro-Hamas, Amerika-hater. Amazingly, in September 2008, a critical time in the presidential campaign, then President, George Bush, with Goldman-Sachs alum and former Treasury Secretary, Hank Paulson, announced a financial crisis of biblical proportions (to this day not adequately explained) necessitating TARP1. Coupled with Bush’s very low poll ratings, this crisis virtually guaranteed Obama’s victory. There is a story which has been buried from that time that alleges there was a cash drawdown on the US money markets so severe that if it was not stopped by executive and congressional intervention the economy and banking system would have crashed right then and there. And, George Soros is a currency trader, the man responsible for England’s Black Wednesday (September 16, 1992) resulting in the devaluation of the English pound and the term ”the man who broke the Bank of England.” Soros also was convicted in 2002 by a French court of insider trading. Hmmm…

Obama is “managed” by two prominent Chicago politicos: David Axelrod, whose mother was a liberal writer allied with American communists; and former ballet dancer, Rahm Emmanuel, known for his foul mouth, jingoistic appoach to human relations, and legendary for his dead fish prank.

The sad truth is that millions of Americans voted for Barack Obama because they hated George Bush and because they saw Obama as a personable guy who was a D.C. outsider, and they thought it would be an historical moment when they elected the first black American President. They fell for the lie and never did their homework. It was a perfect storm chanting Hope and Change and Yes We Can elevating their candidate to messianic proportions. Even their bumper stickers and campaign signs displayed an aura or halo around his head.

But more, Obama is not a descendant of the slave history in the U.S. nor a child of the black civil rights movement. He is a bi-racial guy, born to an unstable teen-age mother who dragged him to a very foreign land and culture, and was abandoned by his biological father. He chose to identify with his African heritage and reject his white DNA with a perpetual contempt.

Obama is a kid that did not fit in anywhere so he chose his path as an angry black man allied with a radical ideology of “black liberation theology” that bears a closer connection to Farrakahn’s Nation of Islam than the Christianity implied in the name, Trinity United Church of Christ. He is more comfortable embracing the U.N.’s Agenda 21 and globalism while abdicating the United States Constitution for foreign treaties and international law. In a 2001 interview with a Chicago public radio station Obama said the following:

“But, the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society. To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution, at least as it’s been interpreted, and the Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can’t do to you. Says what the federal government can’t do to you, but doesn’t say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf.”

Oh my, this once “professor” of Constitutional law does not seem to get the genius of the Founding Fathers and the freedoms they recognized as inalienable. Obama’s words and his actions since moving into the White House are clear evidence of a deep-seated drive for tyrannical rule.

Obama is pro-abortion right up to late term and partial birth and including the withholding of medical assistance to babies who survive abortion. His positions are the most radical of any American politician. And now, Obama is trying to force through Congress a government controlled health care plan that would effectively eradicate the last vestiges of our inalienable rights. Obama and the Democrat’s health care plan is one that moderates health care for the aging and vulnerable, and opts for mandated “end of life” counseling – a euphemism for euthanasia. Obama’s patron, Soros, founded the Open Society Institute which underwrote the Project on Death in America; and, in a 1994 speech, Soros talked about offering to assist his mother, a member of the Hemlock Society, with committing suicide. In that speech, he also talked about his endorsement for the Oregon Death With Dignity Act.

We know that Obama’s maternal grandmother died right before the election but the media never covered the real story and all the questions it raised. We know that Obama’s grandmother had a broken hip and was in the hospital, nothing unusual here for a post-menopausal elderly woman. But then all of a sudden granny was dying and Obama had to go to Hawaii to see her for one last time. Oddly, no one ever talked about how Granny Dunham became terminal so quickly and if she was really dying why didn’t Michelle and the kids go to Hawaii to say good-bye to her as well? But, what we do know is, that trip is when the birth records were removed from any public access. There are some interesting unanswered facts here, like the leap from broken hip to being terminally ill, and why she died right after her euthanasia-loving grandson came to visit. He who wants the elderly to take-their-pain-pills-and-die-rather-than-cost-the state-for-medical-care and oh-by-the-way-I-need-to-hide-my-birth-records came to Hawaii to visit granny.

There are layers upon layers with this guy: radical affiliates; unending encroachment on the separation of powers with czar after czar; government takeovers of the auto, banking and financial markets; elitist parties in the people’s house while millions of Americans lose their jobs, their businesses, their homes to an economy ostensibly “stimulated” over and over so much that Russia’s Pravda and the Chinese Communists exhort America to return to capitalist prosperity.

So what is Obama’s end-game and who is behind him? Look at the Saudis, George Soros, the American Socialists and Communists, the globalists, the black nationalists, the billionaires club, all anti-American and anti-capitalist cabals, the promoters of “sustainable development”, the U.N.’s Agenda 21; and look at the lovers of genocide that seek population control. Look at Obama as a radical elitist that wants a two class America: one with him and his cronies who live lavishly and one made up of the serfs that provide for them. Maybe John Edwards was right there is ”Two Americas.”

So the question is: Is Barack Obama a radical ideologue who was in the right place at the right time and who is carrying out his own agenda? Or is Barack Obama a stalking horse for forces that hate America so much they have waited patiently, plotting and manipulating the economy, members of Congress, Wall Street, the Fed, coiled like a snake in the reeds ready to strike?

Perhaps the more important question now is can we stop them before we lose it all, even our lives?

Claire McCaskill, Missouri’s junior Senator, Democrat and Obama supporter held a town hall meeting at Forest Park Community College in St. Louis on Monday, July 27th. Ms. McCaskill was not in attendance but rather sent staffers to speak for her. It was reported that the plan was to populate the meeting with supporters of McCaskill and Obamacare from followers of the far left blog, The Daily Kos. Apparently, McCaskill and her staff intended to show the public that the American people support yet another power grab by Obama and his minions and are solidly behind the government take over of our health care in the U.S. and one more massive rejection of our basic inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Here’s what happened:

First, staffer Michelle Sherrod asked the audience to express their opinion on Obamacare.

Then a soldier stood up and gave the Dem staffer and her boss, McCaskill, a little lesson in governance.

On July 17th, a handful of middle aged tea party protestors in St. Louis visited Claire’s office to talk to her or her staff regarding their concerns about her support of Obamacare. They reported that the staff locked the doors, pulled down the blinds, and a male occupant flashed them the “bird” with both hands, then someone inside called the police and said they were being threatened by these folks. Judge for yourself:

When questioned, Claire blamed the “finger pointing” on her neighbors…

Poor Claire, she is so ambitious for herself, maybe she just hitched herself to a falling star and forgot the constituents she is obligated to serve.

Is It Clear Yet Claire?

Walter Cronkite died July 17th at the age of 92. He was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, north of Kansas City, and lived in Kansas City till age 10 when his family moved to Texas. He was a son of Missouri. He also was a Boy Scout, Episcopalian, and DeMolay member. He graduated high school but not college, dropping out of the University of Texas in junior year. He started his career in broadcasting as a radio announcer in Oklahoma City then back to his hometown of Kansas City. Perhaps that makes him a colleague of sorts of other great radio broadcasters who also are college drop outs: Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Or perhaps that is where the similarity ends.

Walter Cronkite was called the most trusted man in America. How did he acquire that appellation?

Cronkite covered World War II including battles in North Africa and Europe, bombing raids over Germany, the Battle of the Bulge, even the Nuremberg trials. He was a UP reporter in Moscow for two years. In the early days of 1950s television, Cronkite, recruited by Edward R. Murrow, joined CBS News and was one of the first reporters to be termed an “anchor” which referred to his role covering the 1952 Republican and Democrat conventions. His accomplishments are discussed extensively in many reference sources.

In 1962 he took over as the anchor of CBS Evening News. I remember Walter Cronkite but I do not remember watching him regularly as he reported the news. We watched the Huntley-Brinkley Report in our house; Good night, David, Good night, Chet. There was something soothing about those two guys that left a young kid feeling good about the news in those days of 1960s turmoil and nightly war reports from Southeast Asia, like a daily soap opera to which we eventually grew numb.

When Chet Huntley retired in 1970, Cronkite assisted by the substantial investment of CBS in its news programming, surpassed NBC and dominated the nightly news until his retirement.

Cronkite announced his retirement on February 14, 1980. This is his farewell statement from March 1981:

“This is my last broadcast as the anchorman of The CBS Evening News; for me, it’s a moment for which I long have planned, but which, nevertheless, comes with some sadness. For almost two decades, after all, we’ve been meeting like this in the evenings, and I’ll miss that. But those who have made anything of this departure, I’m afraid have made too much. This is but a transition, a passing of the baton. A great broadcaster and gentleman, Doug Edwards, preceded me in this job, and another, Dan Rather, will follow. And anyway, the person who sits here is but the most conspicuous member of a superb team of journalists; writers, reporters, editors, producers, and none of that will change. Furthermore, I’m not even going away! I’ll be back from time to time with special news reports and documentaries, and, beginning in June, every week, with our science program, Universe. Old anchormen, you see, don’t fade away; they just keep coming back for more. And that’s the way it is: Friday, March 6, 1981. I’ll be away on assignment, and Dan Rather will be sitting in here for the next few years. Good night.”

There was something about Walter Cronkite that I did not like or trust. I have no idea what it was or that I understood it then. Now, in retrospect, I think it was my true common-sense, budding conservative self capable of ascertaining truth-tellers from snake charmers – those people who harbor a deep, dark evil secret within their being.

So when Walter left the airwaves I did not shed a tear of sentiment. He was gone, I didn’t watch him anyway.

But in later years I learned some truly disturbing facts about Walter Cronkite.

By the time he campaigned in western Missouri for his Democrat “barbie-doll” cousin as she ran for national office – she who nearly devastated the Kansas City economy from her term as mayor, I found myself hissing at the TV screen when he appeared promoting her, full of the realization that he was not just a liberal, but a radical globalist that promoted the dominance of the United Nations and the withering away of the United States. A man who spewed the most vile, treasonous rhetoric to whomever would listen. And they did listen and sop it up.

For example, in a 1999 speech he gave before an audience at the UN when he was awarded the Norman Cousins Global Governance Award from the World Federalists Association, he stated that “the first step toward achieving a one-world government is to strengthen the United Nations.” This is said to be his personal dream.

“It seems to many of us that if we are to avoid the eventual catastrophic world conflict we must strengthen the United Nations as a first step toward a world government patterned after our own government with a legislature, executive and judiciary, and police to enforce its international laws and keep the peace. To do that, of course, we Americans will have to yield up some of our sovereignty. That would be a bitter pill. It would take a lot of courage, a lot of faith in the new order,” emphasis added.

Cronkite also reportedly stated the following: “American people are going to begin to realize they are going to have to yield some sovereignty to an international body to enforce world law…”

Cronkite is renowned for his negative impact on the Viet Nam conflict when he announced on his news program in February 1968 following a victory for U.S. and South Vietnamese troops and a defeat for the Communist North Vietnamese:

“For it seems now more certain than ever that the bloody experience of Vietnam is to end in a stalemate.”

Shortly after the famous Cronkite “Report from Viet Nam…” then President, Lyndon Johnson, was heard to say “If I’ve lost Cronkite, I’ve lost middle America.” Within weeks Johnson announced that he would not seek reelection.

In more recent years, Walter Cronkite steadfastly supported Bill Clinton during the impeachment proceedings; in 2006 he presented the Walter Cronkite Faith and Freedom Award to actor and activist George Clooney as the chairman of the Interfaith Alliance (an organization opposed to conservative Christians and which maintained a radio show on leftist Air America); he wrote a column in which he regularly condemned President George W. Bush and the Iraq war; he appeared in the 2004 film “Outfoxed” which bashed Rupert Murdoch and Fox News; and he was a contributing writer to far left blog, The Huffington Post.

This month of July 2009, the local news shows all carried their obligatory, hushed voice, reverential reports of this great American icon and not one mentioned Walter Cronkite’s radical anti-America globalist agenda. Was he an icon of Americanism or an icon of radical anti-American sentiment?

To me, this passing is a reminder that we must be ever vigilant in assessing the agenda and the veracity of our once “free press.” Fortunately, for those of us on the Right who love and pursue the Truth, we have the new media and the Internet, and no longer are captive to the so-called news from ABC, NBC, and CBS and print media as we were when I was a child.

So many people have asserted that Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim. The name suggests it. His biological father was Muslim.
So many people have asserted that Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim. The name suggests it. His biological father was Muslim. He was registered in a government school in Indonesia as a Muslim and he has spoken of this time attending the mosque with his Muslim step-father with great sentiment. He delivered speeches in Muslim countries referring to the “holy Quran” while quoting it in Arabic with great ease. Obama bowed deeply to the Saudi king – an act blatantly wrong for the leader of the free world and completely surpasses W’s hand holding as an outrageous act by any U.S. Commander in Chief! He even went so far as to tell the world that the U.S. is not a Christian country and may even be considered a Muslim nation.

These acts and statements of Obama are truly puzzling unless one subscribes to the theory that he is really a closet Muslim and a stalking horse for Islamic terrorists and/or Saudi interests. Compelling, but I submit an alternate theory: Obama hates Christians.

Now, I am sure someone will argue that Obama belonged to the Trinity United Church of Christ of Dr. Jeremiah Wright and was baptized into a Christian faith. Hogwash! This was no conversion. Obama carefully chose his entrée to the world of politics by aligning himself with an organization that is a core institution in the black community – the church. But not just any church, Obama chose one out of the mainstream, one aligned with a belief system not found in the major Christian denominations. Joining the Nation of Islam and embracing Screwy Lewie Farrakhan as his spiritual advisor might have been a choice that would have little appeal but to those so aligned, and would never attract the mainstream black community or those self-loathing, guilt-ridden, political-correctness-paralyzed liberal whites, the brain-numb “I just want to be a nice person” wet noodles, or even the America-hating far left kooks. Jeremiah Wright tells you himself that his Chicago church is based on “black liberation theology” and the writings of James Cone. There is nothing Christian about it other than their central figure is named Jesus Christ, but that is about where the connection ends. It is a racist belief system that preaches white hate and reparation from white Americans.
http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/02/obamas_mentors_mentor.html

In fact, I don’t even think that Obama believes in that ideology. I think Obama is an empty vessel, an a-theist, a person who exists in the absence of God. One could plumb the depths of his psyche to opine on the motivation for this mixed race man, abandoned by both parents, reared predominantly by white grandparents and in mostly Asian dominated environments. He looked in the mirror and saw a fellow that fit in where?

We don’t need Obama’s words, his actions speak clearly. After 56 years of public participation by Congress and U.S. Presidents in the National Day of Prayer with prayer breakfast meetings, other prayer meetings and related observances, Obama said no thanks and merely issued a proclamation. Obama gave a policy speech at premier Jesuit institution of higher learning, Georgetown University, on April 14th and required that the symbol of Jesus’ name (IHS) be covered up and regrettably, Georgetown denied its true Messiah and capitulated to the false one. Also in April, Mr. Obama appointed LGBT activist Harry Knox to his Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Shortly before this appointment in March, the same Mr. Knox launched an attack on Pope Benedict XVI which was published on the website of the Human Rights Campaign, a homosexual advocacy group. He publicly attacked the Pope and the Catholic Church previously in 2007. And yet with this not just “bias” but very real hate campaign against the Church, and advocacy of an alternate lifestyle that is not promoted by most religions, Knox was elevated by Obama to a national role concerned with faith-based policy matters!

Mr. Obama takes positions out of the norm and inconsistent with Christian teaching and natural law. He supports the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act, and stated that he would sign the Freedom of Choice Act removing all restrictions on abortion including the Partial-Birth Abortion Act of 2003 which was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2007 (Gonzales v. Carhart). We heard the story of Jill Stanek and the shameful practices of a Chicago hospital killing aborted babies that survived the abortion (by leaving them unattended and denied medical care) and Obama’s efforts as an Illinois state senator to thwart the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.
http://www.jillstanek.com/archives/2008/08/barack_obama_pr.html

The most recent slight to Christian America was the Pentagon’s refusal, after 42 years of participation, to conduct a fly-over at the Treasure Valley God and Country Festival held July 1st in Idaho. http://godandcountryfestival.com/ While a Christian event it is also a tribute to our military and Constitutional freedoms.

There are innumerable examples of Obama’s blatant disregard for everything Christian and they are chronicled every day. Only a fool would believe this man is a Christian or that he bears any positive regard for Christian America. Perhaps Mr. Obama, who tends to lack a most basic grounding in fundamental academics like history and geography, would do well to read not insignificant founding documents like the Mayflower Compact and the Declaration of Independence, the writings of George Washington and John Adams, and so many others.

But then why should he? He is the new Messiah and he has declared that we are not a Christian nation.

We all have heard of the Men in Black, so how about let’s look at the Women in Black. No, I don’t mean alien invaders who show up after a close encounter of the something kind, or spy types, I mean women lawyers who wear the black robes of a jurist.

Let’s look at the ladies of the Supreme Court.

First, there is Ruth Bader Ginsburg, that diminutive creature with the perpetual sneer that poses as a smile, I guess that is what it is supposed to be. In 2006, then 72 year old Justice Ginsburg apparently took her job so seriously that she fell asleep at the bench. According to Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank:

“At first, she appeared to be reading something in her lap. But after a while, it became clear: Ginsburg was napping on the bench. By Bloomberg News’s reckoning – not denied by a court spokeswoman – Ginsburg’s snooze lasted a quarter of an hour.

“It’s lucky for Ginsburg that the Supreme Court
has so far refused to allow television in the courtroom, for her visit to the land of nod would have found its way onto late-night shows.”

Yeah, not to mention you-tube.

This week in an interview with Emily Bazelon for the New York Times Magazine scheduled to appear on Sunday, July 12th, titled “The Place of Women on the Court” Justice Ginsburg stated the following:

JUSTICE GINSBURG: “Yes, the ruling about that surprised me. [Harris v. McRae — in 1980 the court upheld the Hyde Amendment, which forbids the use of Medicaid for abortions.] Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion. Which some people felt would risk coercing women into having abortions when they didn’t really want them. But when the court decided McRae, the case came out the other way. And then I realized that my perception of it had been altogether wrong.” (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/12/magazine/12ginsburg-t.html?pagewanted=4)

She really said that – this Jewish woman! Was it a Freudian slip? A truth telling about the real agenda of the genocide-lovers let slip by a person, a woman, a mother, a jurist who has the power to eradicate classes of human beings by the stroke of her pen? Who comprises those populations that we don’t want too many of? Those of us who pay attention know the origins of the abortion and euthanasia agenda, and we know the history of Hitler’s Final Solution and Margaret Sanger’s affinity for eugenics. But we also know that Ruth Bader Ginsburg is former general counsel of the ACLU and activist for abortion and knows no compassion for the most innocent and vulnerable of our society. I wonder how she would rule if Josef Mengele stood before her?

Now, we are facing another woman nominated for the highest court of the land – Sonia Sotomayor. A woman and mother, and one more pro-abortion Catholic. Sotomayor served as a governing board member of the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund (PRLDEF) from 1980 to 1992. This group published briefs in prominent abortion related court cases. In fact, in 1988, they called upon the Supreme Court in Webster v. Reproductive Health Services to read the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) into the U.S. Constitution protecting abortion as a fundamental right.

Further, Sotomayor has been overturned in 6 out of 7 cases heard by the Supreme Court, the court to which she aspires: Ricci v. DeStefano, Riverkeeper, Inc. vs. EPA, Knight vs. Commissioner, Dabit vs. Merrill Lynch, Malesko v. Correctional Services Corp., Tasini vs. New York Times, et al. An excellent summary of these overturned cases and the one case which was upheld can be found at: http://oneconservativevoice.blogspot.com/2009/05/sotomayor-cases-reviewed-by-supreme.html

She has another case pending review before the high court: Maloney v. Cuomo which has strong implications for our 2nd amendment rights. And then there’s those embarrassing statements about the courts being the place for making policy (what about the legislative branch of government?), and the wise “Latina” possessing wisdom superior to a white man simply because of her life experiences (say what?). She still hasn’t told us how this allegedly wise Latina compares to a Latino (male), white female, black male or female, Asian, Pacific Islander, mixed race person, etc. Perhaps Judge Sotomayor, who appears to rule based on race and ethnicity, missed that law school class on the concept that Justice is Blind.

If these female jurists are the best legal minds that the Democrats can produce we surely have all the information we need to oppose the appointment of another embarrassing, moral and mental midget to the Supreme Court, whatever the gender, or ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious or non-religious affiliation, and all the other meaningless traits that obscure the apparent lack of proper judicial temperament and intellect.
