Turns Out Brown Can Do Plenty for You

Once again, conservatives are confusing everyone. The intolerant hillbillies who passed around moonshine jugs at Tea Parties/militia meet-and-greets are supposed to reject any candidate who doesn’t make Sean Hannity look like Bob Beckel. But right-wing zealots apparently keep forgetting to intolerantly shove out those who don’t universally conform to their intolerant views. Instead, they just [...]
My Legal Right: Sanctity of Human Life Week

I remember the nurse practitioner saying, “I have a legal obligation to tell you that you can end this pregnancy.” In spite of being overwhelmed by the timing of this pregnancy, this was the last thing I would do or needed to hear. It was offensive that she had the legal obligation to [...]
Free Health Care is a Rip-Off

If dealing with Satan has taught me anything, it’s to beware when someone offers you something for “free.” For example, I’m growing suspicious that the jewel-encrusted kegerator he provided for me might actually be saddled with a prohibitive long-term cost. Might I have actually consented to some sort of eventual disagreeable payment?
As for a similar entity [...]
Health Bill Passes House in Unhealthiest Manner Possible

The House of Representatives doesn’t trust you. Or at least a majority of its members don’t. While you already knew that, it’s useful to confirm that 220 of them were willing to vote based on said reservations. That’s true even if it took passage of a supremely patronizing, financially crippling bill that creates a phalanx [...]
In Technical Terms, Obamacare Would be Really Awful

It will cost approximately every dollar every printed while ultimately putting people like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid in charge of your physical condition. There are an overwhelming number of minutiae-based arguments against any health care plan endorsed by our president or his party buddies. But the opposing case boils down to a single clear [...]
Abortion coverage MANDATORY in Senate Finance Committee bill exchanges!

The Senate Finance Committee recently submitted its health care bill for vote. The public has finally been given access to the 1502 page document. We’re hearing the pundits analyze whether it is fair or right to have discussions behind locked doors. You’ve probably heard the talk about whether or not illegal aliens are covered in [...]
FactCheck.org says Obama is lying about abortion and health care reform.

According to www.factcheck.org, “Despite what Obama said, the House bill would allow abortions to be covered by a federal plan and by federally subsidized private plans.” The proponents of the administration’s proposed health care reform bill claim that the “Hyde Amendment” will keep abortion from being funded by tax dollars. However, what they fail [...]
Women In Black
By S. Williams
We all have heard of the Men in Black, so how about let’s look at the Women in Black. No, I don’t mean alien invaders who show up after a close encounter of the something kind, or spy types, I mean women lawyers who wear the black robes of a jurist.
Let’s look at [...]
Day Old Infant Found in Shoebox
June 29, 2009 by Natalie Nichols

According to the New York Post, a newborn girl was found alive in a shoe box which was left at the entrance to an apartment building in Long Island. A breathing hold had been cut in the box for the baby and the umbilical cord had been tied with dental floss. Local authorities say that the baby girl, weighing 5-pounds, 7-ounces, is doing well. At the bottom of the article, the disclaimer states that police are asking for information regarding the parents of the child. My question is simple: Why? Are they going to go after the biological parents for abandonment? neglect? endangerment? All I can say is that I hope they never find out who her parents were.
The key word here is were. This baby was not murdered. Someone took the time to cut an air hold in the box, to tie off the umbilical cord so that she did not bleed to death, and placed her in a place where they had good reason to believe someone would find her and take her to safety. The mother obviously does not want to mother the child. But she made the CHOICE to still give her life. I do not blame the mother for doing what she did. I wouldn’t have made the same choice, but as a choice-preaching society, we must acknowledge that this mother made the right one. If she truly did not feel that she could care for her child, she should not be caring for her. This mother decided that she did not want to be a mother, so she placed her child in a public doorway where someone could get her to safety and she could eventually find new parents.

On June 1, 2009, I appeared on The O’Reilly Factor on the Fox News Channel to discuss the shooting death of infamous abortionist Dr. George Tiller here in Kansas, and the ensuing disingenuous charges that certain media personalities (who shall remain nameless) had incited the shooting. On June 2, [...]
