AstroTurf Mobster

I grew up with a very ethnic surname – you know the kind of name always used for the Mafia hit man in the movies. So I am used to being suspected of being a relative of some “godfather.” But now the U.S. Government has declared that I am a member of a MOB! And I have AstroTurf growing under my feet! And my clothes are from Brooks Brothers!

Lord Almighty, is this what the American voters wanted when they voted for Hope and Change? An outright assault on the citizenry? The same citizenry that goes to work every day (well not so much anymore), starts the small businesses that employ other Americans, and provides the revenue to fuel the economy? The people who bought houses that they could afford and paid their mortgages. The people who attend church on Sunday and contribute to charities. People who believe that compassion is to be nurtured but personal responsibility is to be revered.

I attended Tea Parties this year, on April 15th and July 4th, and I saw the wonder of a real grass roots movement of everyday Americans: elderly folks, families with kids, college kids, middle age couples, all who carried flags and home made signs of protest for a government out of control and spending money that does not exist, taking over private corporations and destroying free markets, ignoring the will of the People. . .

Christians Need Not Apply

So many people have asserted that Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim. The name suggests it. His biological father was Muslim. He was registered in a government school in Indonesia as a Muslim and he has spoken of this time attending the mosque with his Muslim step-father with great sentiment. He delivered speeches in Muslim countries referring to the “holy Quran” while quoting it in Arabic with great ease. Obama bowed deeply to the Saudi king – an act blatantly wrong for the leader of the free world and completely surpasses W’s hand holding as an outrageous act by any U.S. Commander in Chief! He even went so far as to tell the world that the U.S. is not a Christian country and may even be considered a Muslim nation.
